About SCRN

We are a network of voluntary and public sector organisations that provide services for front-line voluntary and community organisations. If you are a volunteer or worker within the sector and need to access a range of local support, the SCRN can offer this within Suffolk Coastal.

The key objectives for the SCRN are to:
- Facilitate and support the production of a plan for every Parish to identify needs and solutions
- Develop the community & voluntary sector to deliver key service outlines
- Co-ordinate the support for the community and voluntary sector from key agencies
- Increase the participation of Suffolk Coastal citizens in informal and formal volunteering

Development Officer
As Suffolk Coastal does not have a dedicated Council for Voluntary Service or Forum, as for example Waveney or Ipswich do, the Suffolk Association of Voluntary Organisations are working with the Suffolk Coastal Local Strategic Partnership to provide a dedicated Development Officer in the District.

Christine Abraham works from SAVO, offering one-to-one support, advice and signposting for the voluntary and community sector. Christine can help with constitutions, fundraising, training and offer support for the many things that are involved in running a voluntary or community organisation.
