Over 20 groups from the Martlesham and Suffolk Coastal area were represented at the Suffolk Coastal Resource Network Lunch on Thursday 29 October 2009.
All of the participants involved the Event were able to listen to Speakers from:
Suffolk Foundation
Detailing their various funding avenues including the Grassroots Programme and the Suffolk Single Gateway
Suffolk Local Involvement Network (LINK)
Helping people influence or change the way their local NHS and Social Care Services are planned and delivered
Volunteer Suffolk Coastal
How do you find and support Volunteers? The new Coastal Volunteer Co-ordinator is here to help.
Suffolk Coastal District Council
How much do you know about Climate Change and how it affects you and your group? What information and support is available to help you with your initiatives?
Suffolk Befriending Service
Creating opportunities for people with learning disabilities to develop friendships have fun and share new experiences through Befriending.
Following the Speakers Lunch was served and the Networking began! Each of the 20+ participants were able to understand more about the groups in their local area and develop partnerships for future working.
Positive comments were received all round including:

The Networking Lunch Event was held at the Martlesham Village Hall, Top Street, Martlesham, IP12 4RD.
