On Friday 22 January 2010 the Suffolk Coastal Resource Network held the first Networking Lunch of the year at the St Felix Church Hall in Felixstowe.

The Event was held between 12midday and 2pm and was open to any person with a direct interest in the Voluntary and Community Sector including those involved in local grassroots groups, organisations, charities, statutory bodies, councils and funding bodies.

The Lunches are a terrific opportunity for people to come together in an accessible, open environment where networking is encouraged and enabled and groups can share ideas, develop partnerships and support each other.

The Speakers at the Felixstowe Event included the Big Lottery, the Suffolk Foundation and the Suffolk Climate Change Partnership. These included information on grants available to Suffolk Coastal organisations and groups and details of the current criteria for various funding streams available.

The Lunch was attended by over 45 people, representing over 30 organisations and groups.
