New lease of life for economic support fund

Suffolk Coastal District CouncilA scheme which is helping grass-roots efforts to boost the local economy is being extended, with Suffolk Coastal’s Economic Development Support Fund (EDSF). The scheme, which aims to revitalise market towns and population centres, was due to finish at the end of March but has now been extended indefinitely until the remaining amount of funding has been allocated.

Big Lottery FundThe Big Lottery Fund UK has new guidelines for our Reaching Communities programme. These changes come in with immediate effect. The changes are primarily a response to cuts in funding across England and the anticipated increase in demand for our funding.

Funding Surgeries Mental health services funding posted 14 Jan 2011
A limited sum of money has been identified within the mental health capital budget allocation which is being made available for organisations delivering mental health services. The maximum available is £100,000 and bids with an upper limit of £20,000 are invited but individual bids in excess of this will be considered if exceptional outcomes can be demonstrated.

Funding Surgeries Community Environmental Action Fund posted 12 Oct 2010
Following on from the successes of Greener Fram and Otley Green, the Suffolk Coastal Local Strategic Partnership has provided funding of up to £1,000 for 9 further community groups who are willing, with the support of our Community Environmental Action Advisor, to follow in their footsteps.

SAVO has produced a range of Practical Toolkits, with funding from the Big Lottery Fund, which are available at no cost to members of Infrastructure Network Suffolk.

Grassroots Grant Grassroots Grants update 20 July 2010
If you are a community or voluntary group existing in Suffolk for the benefit of local people, then you could get a grant of up to £5,000. To qualify you must be a group has been established for over 12 months and have an annual income of under £30,000 per year or the equivalent of under £90,000 taken as an average over the last three years..

Training Funding Workshop postponed 25 Mar 2010
Unfortunately the 'Writing a Successful Funding Application' workshop has been postponed. The event was due to take place on 31 March in Yoxford. A new date is yet to be confirmed.
